Competition Experience

It is important for the Juniors to gain experience in competitive play as it gives them a chance to put everything they have learned into practice.  It is also a chance for them to 'go it alone' out on the course and see how they get on when making their own club and shot selections.
 
Our recent Tiger match results have shown that competition experience is a great asset to have out on the course.
 

Monthly Medals

One Saturday each month Tigers get together for their regular medal competition.  We ask that you please book your medal slot in advance each month.  (1st group or 2nd group).  While one half is out on the course, the other half will take part in group training activities and then they will swap over.
 
Once all are finished on the course, lunch is served in the Salisbury Suite followed by the awards ceremonies. Tigers compete against others in their own handicap division for the monthly trophies which also includes winners for Top Tiger, Pro's Choice, Trained Brain, Lowest Nett, Lowest Gross and lowest Putts.
  

Other Competitions

In addition to the normal monthly medals, Tiger have a chance to compete in many other competitions during the year trying out many other competition formats including:  Flag Competitions, Texas Scrambles, Foursomes, Greensomes and Pairs Better-ball.

2008 saw the launch of the battle of the Tiger Clubs.  A new trophy has been generously donated by outgoing Men's captain Mr. Ken Wood for matches between Mill Green and Kingsway Tiger Clubs.  Ken has been a great supporter of the Tiger Club with the Men vs. the Tiger Match the highlight of the Men's match year in 2007.
