Tiger Girls - Redbourn Golf Club 1st June 2006

Tiger girls Nicola Callander, Ella Ofstedahl and Jane Withers competed in the 2006 Redbourn Junior Girls open and left holding a number of prizes. Nicola won the non-handicap par 3 competition with a gross 40 with Jane finishing second in the main course 'low gross' competition shooting an 85 but losing on count-back. Jane also scooped the nearest the pin prize for the main course.
 
The youngest main course competitor 8 year old Ella shot a nett 6 over par which wasn't enough to secure one of the low nett prizes but she did win a special prize for her efforts on the difficult 539 yard par 5 18th hole sticking her 130 yard approach shot over the bunkers to 2 feet from the pin and then sinking the putt all in front of on-lookers.
