" Simply The Best "
was this years theme - and it really was !

Sunday 25th March 2007
With the sun finally out, the course in great shape and the fairways
filled with Parents and spectators, the Tigers and their families
certainly enjoyed a great day out there.
Parading into the function room to waiting parents and friends in
their team jumpers and hats to 'Simply The Best' being sung by Tiger
vocalist Rosie Swain, was an impressive start to the day.
A few speeches and then it was out to the practice range for team
warm ups and pep talks before then onto the Romany Nine to get the
morning doubles started. There were some wonderfully close matches
but in the end the doubles results favouring the Boys Team. The
afternoon was a different story though and the Girls Team halved the
points on offer bringing the final tally back to a respectable,
although still losing margin of 5 points. One of the best ones to
watch was Lewis Williams draining a 12 footer on the last to clinch
a half point against Joe Brooks - both players playing off a
handicap of 1
Approximately £200 was raised for Alzheimer disease in the nearest
the pin challenge on the 9th green. Thanks to Junior aces Matt
Spencer and Tom Bushell for their help in that.
Thanks also to all the Sponsors, Parents, Men's / Ladies and Miller
Captains for supporting the day, to all the Tiger Committee members
for making the day run smoothly, but most of all to Ian, John & Luke
for making it happen at all.
