I competed on the summer tour entering the Hertfordshire order of merit held each Wednesday during July and August. From the 6 events I competed in I won five and came second in the other to win through to the South of England Finals. This event was played over 18 holes (red tees) in London. I played extremely well and shot a 7 over par 74 to win my age group by 7 shots. I was now really excited as I had qualified to play in the national finals at The Belfry in October. I practiced hard in the weeks leading up to event and after a good practice round on the course on the day before I was ready! I had an excellent round shooting a 4 over par 76 over the 18 holes. My driving was long and putting good on the fast greens of the immaculate Derby course. I finished in second place in a very competitive field in my age group and shot the fourth lowest score of the day across all age groups. With my result I have qualified to represent the British Tour at under 10’s at the Callaway World Championships in San Diego, USA in July next year.

On November 18th I was invited to attend the 2007 Golf Show in Birmingham to participate in some demonstrations for junior golf in the UK. I was also interviewed by the BBC with DJ Spooney and Austin Healey and then had a lesson with Gary Allis (son of Peter) head pro at the Belfry. I feel very privileged to get these opportunities and would like to thank Ian and the Tiger team for their help in progressing my golf.
